Pink's Hot Dogs is probably the most famous hot dog stand in Los Angeles! Located near the corner of Melrose and La Brea, Pink's can be found by looking for a crowd of people and following the aroma of fresh meaty chili and soft hot dog buns.
Pink's is unlike any other hot dog stand in America. For example, it has its own parking lot attendant. It has been in the same location for 62 years. It is not unusual to see a Rolls Royce pull up to Pink's (the chili dog ordered will be for the occupant, not the chauffeur). Movie stars, well-known dignitaries, struggling musicians, businessmen, housewives, school children... all have savored Pink's Famous Chili Dogs.
Pink's Hot Dog Stand is a quick lunch spot, a nostalgic trip into the past and a delicious experience. Pink's is definitely a landmark in Hollywood!
Tips
- Parking
There is a small free lot behind Pink's, but it can sometimes be difficult and time-consuming to get in and out.
- The Extras
Don't eat meat? No worries: Pink's offers turkey dogs as well as vegetarian hamburger patties.

I expected to wait but not for a WARM hot dog. I was so tired and disappointed that I did not bother to complain. My brother's chili was dog was a disappointment too. Warm dog, warm chili...
As a Native New Yorker, I beg forgiveness from every Cart Dog Vendor I've betrayed...
Pros: Catching up with my brother on line.
Cons: Warm Dogs, Long wait, Over Priced
Dissapointment

Today 4 of us went to the new Pinks in Knotts Berry Farm and we were all disappointed. We have lived in Los Angeles and we are used to the way the hot dogs and chili tasted there. What a dissapointment to taste these chili dogs. They were nothing like the ones we had in LA. I suggest you get your qualified team to Orange county and correct the problem immediately if not sooner. People that aren't used to the original Piniks might like them but Costco or Weinerschnitzel are better. Sorry! Get working!!
Pros:
Cons: the hot dogs and chili didn't taste like La Brea restaurant
It's hot dogs people!

I love Pink's Hot Dogs. It's perfect for after hours grub. It just completes the night. Yes, there is always a line but that's because it's delicious. They're hot dogs people and they're actually satisfying in a greasy-yummy sort of way. So what if it attracts a lot of tourist? Only the hipsters care really.
Planet Hollywood hot dog is my fave - try it.
Pros: delicious, affordable
Cons: waiting, parking
